Taw Estuary

Saturday (dusk): 3 Spoonbill at Isley Marsh RSPB including the long-returning individual ringed "Green-Yellowflag-Green, Blue-Metal-Lime". 

Sunday: At Salt Pill Duck Pond (Gaia Trust)/the sea wall west of Fremington Quay, migrants included a few flocks of ~20 Skylark (spaced out over the morning), 5 Song Thrush, 8 Blackbird, 3 Stonechat, 2 Common Snipe and 3 Swallow. Also present here a singing Cetti's Warbler and 2 Water Rail. Very few finches today and zero Chiffchaff (or other warblers) caught in the ringing session. A Bar-tailed Godwit was feeding on the flats beside Fremington Quay Cafe. 35 Wigeon on the beach east of here plus a Jay overhead.
