Upottery Airfield, Smeatharpe

Back on site this week (on and off) after a week in Cornwall. Mostly very quiet with 1 or 2 Wheatear plus  the first Golden Plover of the autumn, heard only in thick fog on Monday 29th.

However, a small improvement this morning in terms of variety - 1 Whinchat, 1 Stonechat (m), 1 Wheatear, 2 Snipe, 2 Green Woodpeckers (still scarce here), 6 Lapwings and a single Swallow. The female Kestrel remains in the area.
