07:10 - 17:15. Clear night, beautiful sunny day. Light northeast wind.

Golden Plover, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 20 Stock Dove, c200 Skylark, c700 Meadow Pipit, 4 Tree Pipit, 8 Yellow Wagtail, 300 Swallow, 200 House Martin, 25 Wheatear, 57 Blackcap, 65 Chiffchaff, 15 Goldcrest and a Jay.

Majority of Meadow Pipits working their way southeast along the Warren and Bolt Head early morning. Likewise with the hirundines, loads of the later probably missed. After a starry night and clear dawn surprised to get reasonable numbers of Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs.

Like Rob said, a few Clouded Yellows around. Also saw 2 Painted Ladies and i reckon at least 100 Red Admirals feeding in the afternoon sun on ivy in the lane that leads from Soar Mill Cove up to Southdown.
