Bowling green marsh

Watched from 07:00 till 11:00

a good morning did along the lane to start with producing 1 treecreeper, 2 nuthatch, 6+ blackcap, 13+ chiffchaff , 3 coal tits and a group of 30+ long tailed tits, 2 great spotted woodpeckers, 1 green woodpecker, 15+ linnets, a small fall of robins.

from the viewing platform 2 water rail, kingfisher and 5 avocet

from the hide 4 curlew sandpipers among 100+ dunlin, 3 spotted redshanks, 9+ greenshanks, 4 whimbrel, 12+ bar tailed godwits,8+ snipe,  18+ knot among good numbers of redshank, black tailed godwits and curlew, 3+ oystercatcher a posdible ring tail harrier sp seen briefley as it disappeared was one which got away but caused panic among the waders, a lesser black backed gull attacked a redshank which got away a dunlin wasnt so lucky and the rest of the waders remained wary after with more disturbance possible from a peregrine which was later seen meant a lot of birds left heading back to the estuary .
