Similar hirundine passage at Wembury but impossible for me to estimate numbers. Started slowly with mostly Swallows moving east in twos and threes up to about 9 AM. Then the House Martins started. At times this afternoon I could see 20/30 birds in each field of view no matter where I looked. Certainly in the thousands passed through today. Like others, just a single Sand Martin (and a wierd bird that eluded me, giving brief and distant views that looked like a good candidate HM x SM hybrid). Swallow numbers seemed much lower than in other places and only maybe 1-2% were Swallows this afternoon.

Other than that, 2 Wheatear, 1 Crossbill, 500+ Mipit, 200+ Linnet, 80 Goldfinch but very few Skylarks or Chiffs and only a single Jay to report.
