Soar

Birding with Ali from 07.20, first at Mid and East Soar, then a look around Bolberry, all in lovely clam and mild conditions.

A passage of Swallows first thing, with 270 going South (c50 others hanging around later) and a single Swift with them. 

A scattering of other migrants included - Whinchat (4), Redstart (4), Yellow Wagtail (31), Sedge Warbler, Garden Warbler, Chiffchaff (24), Willow Warbler (6), Tree Pipit (5), Whiethroat (7), Blackcap (14), Wheatear (6), Grey Wagtail (4), Goldcrest (2), Sand Martin, Robin (c25), Reed Warbler and surprisingly just 1 Spotted Flycatcher. Also 20 Stock Doves, 4 Sparrowhawks and 2 Roe Deer,
