North Torridge area

On Manteo Way nature reserve by Tarka Trail, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Green Sandpiper and a Kingfisher were highlights, also a Curlew and 6 Redshank. Nearby, on what was apparently meant to be a 'storm reservoir' but has become a permanent pond, on a new housing estate on Watkins Way, approximately 200 House Martin and 50 Swallow hawking over the pool and more strikingly perching all over the facades of nearest houses and weighing down the tiny trees around the pond. A real sight.
