Hopes Nose
Sea watching this morning 6.15-11.30am in a strong south-easterly-Combined totals with ML .
8 Black Terns, 1 Little Tern, 22 Arctic Terns, 15 Sandwich Terns and 601 Common Terns, 21 'commic' Terns . 17 Arctic Skuas and 1 Bonxie. 13 Balearic Shearwaters and 305 Manxies. Also 21 Common Scoter and a Teal with a Mallard south.
The Common Terns were very impressive with many flocks of 50+ and most of the Terns were passing close by the headland. Heaviest passage was mid morning.
