River Caen

Another walk down the east bank this morning revealed 4 Black-tailed Godwits - all juvs I think. 1 Common Sandpiper, 25+ Dunlin, but try as I might I couldn't turn any into a Curlew Sandpiper, 2 Ringed Plover, and a juvenile Sanderling.

In the reeds at Sherpa, a squealing Water Rail - first this autumn. Also there a Pochard and a Tufted Duck. 2 Teal, and a possible juv Garganey.
