Soar and South Huish

Low numbers of migrants generally, but some signs of variety widening. A Grasshopper Warbler (flushed from my feet and then showed well for a short time in Starehole), Redstart, Spotted Flycatcher, Garden Warbler, 4 or 5 Yellow Wagtails, 3+ Sand Martins, c70 Swallows, 12+ Willow Warblers, 9 Chiffchaffs, Peregrine, 2 Sedge Warblers, and 1 or 2 Sparrowhawks.

Fourteen species of butterfly included a Clouded Yellow.

South huish Marsh produced a juv Little Ringed Plover, 3 Ringed Plovers, 2 Dunlins, and 15 Sand Martins; and a single Common Sandpiper was beside the tidal road at Averton Gifford, later.
