Bowling Green Marsh
Viewed 1030-1645Hrs
All the usual waders and gulls seen on the marsh today.
Ross's Gull elusive at times but showing well for most to see in the hide and still there with a handful of gulls when i left. Spoonbill, Little Gull, sp Spotted Redshank and adult Mediterranean Gull also on show most of the day. A Ruff was amongst the Redshank on the far side of the main pond until early afternoon. The highlight was a Common Tern which came in after the high tide 1305 and stayed for short while until all the gulls went up and disppeared towards Goosemoor. It eventually reappeared 20 mins later and dropped on the point in left channel showing very well for at least 45 min before flying out down the estuary at 1438.
No sign of the Bonaparte's Gull today.
