South Brent ~ Dartmoor

On the edge of the moors between Dockwell and Yarner late yesterday afternoon (24th) just hoping that the rain would stay away.

Goldfinch, Bullfinch inc several youngsters, Chaffinch, numerous Meadow Pipits & Skylarks, one unidentified Warbler species with very dark distinctive markings, juvenile Robin, Cuckoo, Magpie, Yellow Hammer, Linnet, Raven, Carrion Crow, Herring Gull, House Sparrow, Mistle Thrush, flock of about 12 Starlings most of which were juveniles, one Shrew and a couple of Rabbits.............. and the rain held off

And at home in South Brent last night Tawny owls calling for most of the night at one point up to six could be heard calling from various locations.
