Dippers in the Sterridge Valley

During the last week or so a pair of adult Dippers have been feeding well-grown young along the stream through our garden. This fledgling, photographed through a 'window' in the dense growth of bankside ferns, froze motionless for a couple of minutes before calling and zipping off upstream.
