Bowling green marsh

Watched from the hide 15:25 till 18:00

a very wet and windy afternoon, an arctic tern came in just after I got to the hide but only stayed briefley before going back to the estuary, a 1st summer Mediterranean gull , 42+ common gulls, 35+ whimbrel, 18+ bar tailed godwits with 2 in full summer plumage, 195+ black tailed godwits, 1 dunlin, 21+ greenshanks, 2 oystercatchers, a fly through hobby, several small groups of swallows and sand martins, 2 reed warblers, 1 reed bunting, 2 tufted duck and still 7+ wigeon. On the walk up the lane a male sparrowhawk.
