Prawle 06.30 1 whitethroat, 1 willow warbler, 4 chiffchaffs, 3 blackcaps.

Torcross 09.00 3 wheatear on beach, 1 sedge warbler singing by tank, 1 great northern diver on sea. 3 swallows.

Strete woodland walk 10.00 1 blackcap, 1 garden warbler, 1 nuthatch, 1 swallow

Dawlish Warren 14.00 - 16.00 23 whimbrel, 1 grey plover, 1 sanderling, 7 ringed plover, 4 dunlin 1 wheatear, 2 db Brent geese, 2 swallow, all from hide; 1 whitethroat, 1 backcap.

Sad to see strange behaviour of black swan in the middle of Dawlish town, sitting on a nest. She got up at one point and began turning the "eggs" she was sitting on, but they were all just big flat pebbles. How disturbed is that?
