A female Wheatear was on the coastguard cottages roof this morning. 7 Shelducks flew around the marsh, 3 males and 4 females, which then settled further up the valley. 2 Gadwalls, a male and female were still here and also the female Teal, which seems to likes the company of the male Mallards when they get together. There are 6 Coots on the marsh with 2 now sitting. Around the marsh in the bushes and hedges, plenty of Chiffchaffs singing and also afew Blackcaps with lots of Dunnocks and Goldfinches around also.
