A run across Dartmoor with Keith Male today out to Warren House Inn and back via Dartmeet, main birds on the moors were Sky Larks and Meadow Pipits and a few Stonechats, couple of Yellowhammers, a few Mistle Thrush about, several sightings of Buzzard displaying, good numbers of Raven, Carrion Crow sat on a nest at the Warren House, lots of bee's of various types and several butterflies about, strangest sight was a drake Mallard flying low over the high moor in the middle of nowhere. Will have to do a species count later but more species than I have seen on a moors run before.
