Around the Axe

A sea watch this morning from Seaton 08:00-09:25 (with a ten minutes shopping break during a heavy rain shower!) showed:

23 Red-throated Diver, 1 Black-throated Diver, 4 Brent Geese, 50+ Kittiwake and 40+ Guillemots/Razorbills. Except for a few unwell looking auks close in, everything flew west.

This afternoon, no sign of yesterday's adult Glaucous Gull on the Estuary, but Avocet still and yet another hybrid Gull (an adult, presumably a HerringxLesser Black-backed)...

Mantle colour ok for YLG - but nothing else was!
