South Efford Marsh & River, Aveton Gifford

Highlight of the afternnoon was a Glossy Ibis feeding with Curlews at the north end of the marsh (also seen on 14th Jan by DWT warden so probably wintering in valley) and 2 Water Pipits. Also: 20 Little Egrets, 62 Mute Swans, 18 Shelduck, 32 Curlews, 2 Greenshanks, Green Sandpiper, Common Sandpiper, Kingfisher, 23 Meadow Pipits, Grey Wagtail, 42 Pied Wagtails and a Chiffchaff. Not a bad afternoon's haul!
