Twice a year I do a survey inside the RMB Chivenor. It's good for Skylarks, but only in the spring apparently - didn't see any today! It does give an opportunity to look at the Chivenor bank of the Taw usually only visible from the other side of the estuary. Good counts of Wigeon (350), Lapwing (800) and Golden Plover (5000?) which were on the sandbank mid-stream. Also able to scope teh 6 Spoonbills at Isley, which won't count on the Chivenor survey!
