Storm driven seabirds

The recent accumulations of seabirds sheltering in the southern half of Torbay are clearly a reflection of the exceptionally difficult feeding conditions along much of our coastline, which will inevitably have caused some casualties. I found a very weak looking Razorbill at Brixham breakwater slipway, and after some enquiries managed to get hold of RSPCA wildlife rescue on 0300 1234 999. It sounded as if they were very busy picking up seabird casualties in the South Hams so unfortunately were unable to get this way for a couple of hours, by which time I had lost track of the bird, but it is worth having the number for future use.
