Long-tail Duck Bowling Green Marsh

I decided to sit it in the hide at Bowling Green today until the Long-tailed Duck came in to the channel as it has done previous.  It took a couple of hours but eventually it was around the marker. We then all kept quiet (a novelty in it's self),  and then we held our breath as it got closer and closer, until after just a minute or so it was as near to the hide as it could be. At one point, it cleared a path aggressively amongst the teal, climbed out and fed on the bankside vegetation opposite.

I have more photos on my Blog,  (copy and paste "Wildlife in a Suburban Garden" in to your search).
