Prawle Sightings

A brief, unplanned seawatch , from 7.30am ,  produced a Merlin flying/struggling  west (against a strong westerly wind) and 3 Balearic Shearwaters . Few birds overhead or around the reserve/car park area so up to the village where a fem/imm Black Redstart  showed well on Kittiwake Cottage. Next stop Pig's Nose valley where , at the bottom, a nice male Ring Ouzel flew from the ridge down onto gorse. Photos  to follow. An autumnal trio-not bad.
