Exminster Marshes

A leisurely stroll around the southern part of the marsh mid morning revealed 1 wheatear at Turf but no other obvious migrants apart from 5 skylarks high over west. On the lagoon the only ducks were 3 tufted and 2 gadwall, also there 3 little grebe and 5 coot. Elsewhere on the wet flashes there were plenty of teal (c60 on the pool nearest the canal car park). As for waders nothing more exciting than 1 black-tailed godwit, 5 lapwing and 2 curlew. Amongst the large number of Canada geese were 1 barnacle and 5 greylag geese.
