River Caen and Taw/Torridge estuary

0730 - 0930 Kingfisher, dipper and greenshank seen on the river walk down to the estuary. Osprey almost immediately seen from the mouth of the Caen, patrolling up and down the estuary, before taking a fish and settling on a sandbank. Peregrine also seen taking a probable wood pigeon over Chivenor firing range. Other species of note were a whimbrel and sedge warbler.
