Around topsham

Watched from 10:15 till 16:45

started at topsham quay and soon found 3 spotted redshank (2 juv, 1 adult) between the quay and the goatwalk, from the goatwalk 935+ black tailed godwits and 1 knot. 

From the viewing platform at bowling green marsh 15 avocet, 6 grey plover and a water rail all showed well.

moved onto the hide 12:00 till 14:00 but fairly quiet with the low high tide but still good with 2 juv little stints, 3 spotted redshanks, 1 juv ruff , 1 green sandpiper,  17 knot, 25+ little eegret.

Back to the viewing platform at least 1 juv curlew sandpiper among 120+ dunlin a nice find was a Osprey just before 15:00 fishing between powderham and Lympstone, just as we were leaving a large group of 50+ long tailed tits, blue tits, great tits  and chiffchaffs appeared one warbler stood out it had a bright eye ring no supercilium dusky back and bright underneath only brief glimpses obtained by the viewing platform before being lost to view despite searching for an hour unable to refind it one which got away.
