WeBS Count - R.Caen / Taw Estuary / Horsey Island

Perfect morning for the monthly count, not a breath of wind with excellent visibility & you could hear a pin drop at 100 paces !

A great start with Maurice's Grey Phalarope close to the shoreline at the Fishermens Huts, This bird flew east towards Chivenor & may turn up again on your patch Maurice later on today!

Then not one but 2 Marsh Harriers searching for prey over Horsey Island. These landed & then flew off in the direction of Braunton Marshes > Braunton Burrows.

31 Greenshank, 9 Redshank & 11 Dunlin on Horsey Island.
