South Huish Marsh (South Milton)

An early afternoon visit to South Huish Marsh (South Milton) gave Water rail, five Black Tailed Godwit flying in, eight plus Snipe enjoying the sunshine, two Heron, three Little Egret, Buzzard.

On the beach good numbers of Pied Wagtail and Rock Pipit.

On the field behind the cafe a flock of Canada Geese that had for company a white feral type goose, a Barnacle Goose which in turn was keeping company with the recently reported "Small type Canada goose".

Is it a Cackling Goose? the plumage markings on its back reach to the base of the neck, the white facial marking appears to be narrower, someone with better knowledge than me may have a more definitive answer.
