Mudbank and Bystock

At Mudbank on incoming tide. Best birds were juv spoonbill; pair of red breasted mergansers close in; grey plovers; single snipe out on the estuary; blackwits and a barwit; greenshanks x2; med gulls x2; male kingfisher fishing in the creek and showing well (good to meet and learn from Derek Carter and Rupert)

At Bystock around the middle of the day. Best birds were the flock of redpolls; single goldcrest; pair of bullfinches; group of long tailed tits; and two song thrushes perched together with male GSW right beside them - all three still for at least fifteen minutes.
