Slapton

A trip down to Slapton Ley gave the over wintering Snow Bunting just below the southern corner of the Memorial car park, the bird showed remarkably well despite people almost walking over it.

Four Cetti’s Warbler calling and one sighting, Water Rail flushed by the Torcross hide, Ring Necked duck, two pairs of Golden Eye duck, Ten plus Shags just off the beach, fly by Red Throated Diver, four Great Northern Diver, Great Crested Grebe on the Ley and on the sea, two Black Necked Grebe.

Good numbers of Gull with Great Black Back, Lesser Black Back and numerous Common Gulls on the Ley.

Several Stonechat and a small flock of Goldfinch.
