Wrafton

Walked around Sherpa last evening - odd to see a female Wigeon. Not much else except for some hundreds of Swallows, many perched on dead thistle stems in the field. 6 Little Egrets were feeding together and were then seen in the reserve atop the tall evergreen trees.

The Wigeon (or another?) was on Wrafton pond this morning. Ringing in the reserve was slow but livened up with a Jersey-ringed Sedge Warbler.
