Emsworthy Mire

Mid morning visit looking for winter thrushes which were few and far between, probably because the Rowan trees are devoid of berries this year.Saw a few blackbirds and a couple of Mistle Thrushes, and about a dozen Redwing at the far end of the valley well past the reserve boundary. Very few small birds about at all, but the bird of the day was a Ringtail Hen Harrier which flew along the valley and passed about 15 ft from me!
