Female Shoveler and 3 Gadwall on Wrafton Pond this morning. 14 Black-tailed Godwits on the scrape (but later flew off east.) 2 Dippers in the river. Water Rail, Long-tailed Tit, Jay, Chiffchaff, Blackcap, GSW, and 15/20 Redwing in the reserve. Yesterday a Raven was calling from one of the big trees. Also a huge (1000+) number of Starlings on the telegraph wires near the river. Haven't seen such a gathering for about 25 years.
