Start Point

Early morning walk down to the lighthouse quiet birdwise until an unexpected Glaucous Gull flew by below the cliffs. Had a look around the back of the lighthouse compound and found it on the rocks off the point. Watched it in the distance for about 40 minutes as it mainly slept until it headed out towards a working trawler with an attendent gull flock a couple miles offshore. Would have thought it was at least a 3rd calander year bird. Little else except for a couple Wheatears and a Great Northern Diver which flew south high over the point.
