Tamar Lakes, Exminster Marshes & Bowling Green Marsh

Best bird today at Tamar Lakes was a surprise Black-necked Grebe on Upper Tamar Lake. A few Marsh Tits and, eventually, a vocal Willow Tit were at the feeders at Lower Lake.

On Friday, October 8, Exminster Marshes gave us a young Hobby, a juvenile Marsh Harrier, a Great Egret and 50 Golden Plovers. Across the water, at Bowling Green Marsh, highlights included a Spotted Redshank, a Ruff, Kingfisher, Peregrine and around 150 Pintail.
