Surprise, surprise

Late yesterday afternoon, over the pool at Stoke Gabriel, a few last minute  swallows and house martins heading downriver. Today about ten thirty heard several meadow pipits flying over and a skylark's brief song. Possible migrants but don't know it they were coming or going but a welcome sound nonetheless, especially in suburban Paignton
