South Brent ~ Ring Ouzels and Whinchat

Shipley Bridge to the Avon Dam this morning, Grey Wag tail, flock of 18 plus Meadow Pipit (large numbers up towards the dam) Jay, Heron, Stonechat, Raven, Kestrel, Jay, GSWP, Goldcrest, Dipper, Raven, Dunnock, Wren.

In the Rowans below the dam to the left of the valley heading up, three Ring Ouzel (one adult female two juveniles) four Song Thrush and well into double figures of Blackbird, the Blackbirds were constantly chasing off the Ring Ouzels and Song Thrush, the tree they are feeding in was a little distant so a spotting scope would be useful.

Below the dam a female Whinchat.

Not at great berry year so not sure how long the area will hold the Ouzels this year.
