Fremington Pill

On Friday morning another birder and I were watching a single bird on the far bank of the pill between the sluice and iron bridge. Unlike the two Greenshanks that it was feeding with it appeared to have a darker back and grey head.  We thought that it could be a piper possibly green or wood.  In my opinion, it looks like it could be a Green Sandpiper.

Eds - another Greenshank; there is some variation in tones, especially at this time of year.

Green Sandpiper?
