Plym Estuary & Saltram

A quieter day, but managed to see: single Bar- & Black-tailed Godwits, 2+ Common Sandpipers, 9 Greenshanks, 4 Turnstones, 3 Dunlins, at least 1 Kingfisher, Mediterranean Gull (1st cal year), Sparrowhawk, 2 Grey Wagtails, 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers & just 1 Stonechat.

Also, amongst 556 Black-headed Gulls was the adult 2J21 ringed in Essex in 2017 and seen last month here too.

A proposed solar farm would destroy Chelson Meadow’s best habitat for breeding & migrant birds & other wildlife. Much of the wildlife seen in the wider Plym Estuary & Saltram site, relies on this adjacent area. Please object & support an alternative which would deliver solar and protect wildlife. Visit docs.google.com/document/d/1oo

Please encourage others to do the same.
