Bowling Green Marsh - Bonaparte's Gull?

On a lunchtime visit to the hide I picked out a gull amongst the Black-headed Gulls that were resting on the mud. I was drawn to a gull that appeared slightly smaller and noticed it had a black head rather than chocolate-brown Its bill was dark and smaller than the Black-headed and the bird had black wing tips. From my knowledge of gulls this makes me think it is an adult Bonaparte's but hopefully someone else can get down to see it and confirm this. A lunchtime birding colleague took some records shots of the bird which I hope to post later. Also 4 Dunlin in summer plumage, Whimbrel calling and 2 Oystercatchers. I really must enter some useful phone numbers in my phone so I can get the news out earlier. The bird was still present until around 2 o'clock
