Wrafton scrape

Yesterday morning was again an early start for me as I arrived at Wrafton pond just after sunrise.  To start there were just three Ruffs, a few female Shovelers and a female Pintail. As the morning progressed the birds increased. A Cattle Egret dropped in for a short time, a Greenshank too and Jon Turner counted 22 Black-tailed Godwits.  In the long grass adjacent to the scrape a single Snipe tried to hide itself from on lookers.
