Topsham

An hour in the hide this morning produced 1 Med. Gull, 1 Ruff, 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 newly-returned Teal, 2 Knot, 15 Whimbrel, 20 Greenshank, and perhaps 200 Curlew, 300 Blackwits and 400 Redshanks. On the way there, a Green Sandpiper and a Dipper were in the St James Weir leat, and a Willow Warbler, I presume a migrant, sang briefly from the trees alongside.
