East Soar

Adult female Red-backed Shrike on Bolt Head - seen for 4 minutes from 1040; catching insects from perch and being scolded by Meadow Pipits, Linnets and a Stonechat. 7th record for Soar but the first spring record. Also Red Kite flying high east.

I'm preparing a "History of the Birds of Soar" for publication in 2022 if I can afford it. Any extra records welcome plus any anecdotes. Please remember to put all your sightings at Soar on the Devon Birds blog so they can be included.

Now how do I get to Lundy!!
