Day Trip to Lundy

In lieu of the cancelled devonbirds day trip we took the public sailing to Lundy.  Seabirds were the order of the day with Manx Shearwaters and Gannets on the crossing. At Jenny's cove the Puffin colony continues to increase alongside Guillemots, Razorbills, Kittiwakes and Fulmars. Around Pondsbury many Swallows, Wheatears, Linnets, Pipits and Larks, with Curlew and a single Golden Plover. Near the village, House Martins.  The best was a Golden Oriole in Millcombe along with several Spotted Flycatchers, Blackcaps and Reed Warbler, plus many more 'regulars'.  Also reported, but not seen by us were a Subalpine Warbler and a Cuckoo, neither of which we saw.
