Wrafton Scrape

Took my telescope with me this morning convinced I would find a Wood Sandpiper. But almost the first bird I saw was a shining bright Glossy Ibis in the sunshine.

Two Teal and a few Gulls and Mallard made up the population. Called Sue Bruce who I knew wouldn't have seen one, she arrived and five minutes later at about 10.05, virtually all the birds, including the Ibis, left - one of the local Buzzards carrying prey presumably to blame. Made up for the lack of Sandpipers!

Glossy Ibis - one of the Fremington birds?
