Wrafton etc.

A decent sized loose flock of Sand Martins feeding over Wrafton Pond and the scrape early today, a few House Martins too. One drake Shoveler on the Pond. Also on the scrape: 2 Black-tailed Godwits, 5 Snipe, and the Green Sandpiper still. A few Willow Warblers around the pond and in the reserve, with a few singing Blackcaps. Around Sherpa Marsh 5 Pochard, a few Teal, more Sand Martins and (typically after a visit to Somerset to see some!) a female Marsh Harrier took off and headed for the estuary. It looked to have a full crop, so feeding well! 2 Common Sandpipers.
