Blaxton Meadow, Saltram
At first light this morning among the usual Curlews, Oystercatcher and Redshank I picked out 6 Greenshank, 3 Bar-tailed Godwit and a probable Golden Plover. A Buzzard spooked the lot. When they came back down there was a Grey Plover and a Ringed Plover. Two female Teal and the Polish Mediterranean Gull.
Last evening around 5:45 there were 14 Goosander, 5 males and 9 redheads off the meadow at the 'Gas Pipe' bend of the river. No sign of them this morning.
