Rillage Point to Watermouth

12.30 to 15.00 Steady westward passage of Swallows (50+) after the rain cleared to warm sunshine. Grounded Chiffchaffs and Willow Warblers (about 75% = WW) so numerous and obvious that the various coast-path walkers I met all stopped me to ask what they were. One female Wheatear, 5 Blackcaps. Small passage of Meadow Pipits, Linnets and Pied (White?) Wagtails. Offshore, at least 5 Sandwich Terns going west.

A couple of km inland, at home in the Sterridge Valley, a  male Firecrest feeding actively on the edge of the garden, 6 Swallows, and a couple of Willow Warblers, plus 6 Blackcaps around the suet feeders still.
