Exton - Exeter
Over lunchtime:
- a single "drive-by" Cattle Egret feeding on Topsham flats, despite there being no cattle visible;
- from Exton Station, plenty of Wigeon, Pintail, Oystercatcher, Godwit, Curlew etc., plus 70+ Avocets, double figures of Grey Plover, three G-c Grebes, two Mergansers, a distant probable Goldeneye (no 'scope so cannot be sure), and a Grey Seal, hauled out on the mud.
Later:
- at Countesswear a Green Sandpiper, and, behind the crematorium, a singing Treecreeper;
- in the Trews Weir flood channel, two squealing Water Rails and a Kingfisher.
