North Devon

A run up to Exmoor today for the Red deer and a bit of bird watching at Fremington.

Several 50 plus sized flocks of Wood pigeon headed west into Devon.

On leaving Exmoor near Kinsford Hill above North Molton saw a covey of some 30 plus Red Legged Partridge, an estimated 2500 Starling feeding on stubble fields, a Sparrowhawk came in and had a tickle at them and even a Buzzard had a go.

On to Fremington, seven or so Greenshank followed by the reported Spotted Redshank and a short distance further on four Glossy Ibis that totally ignored everyone who stopped to watch them.

On the Braunton side a flock of 100 or so Lapwing came over dropped onto the mud flats, a bit further on a huge number of Lapwing and twice that number of Curlew !!
